Bob Hudson VE3CWU, who has for many years been the mailing volunteer for the 3 letter G, I, and M letter groups, has decided not to continue as a mailing volunteer. Notice of Bureau Annual General Meeting
Article 15.1 of the VA3/VE3 Incoming QSL Card Bureau Bylaw No 1 requires that an Annual General Meeting of the Bureau be held once per calendar year. Accordingly the 2019 Bureau Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday March 23, 2019, at 12:00.
The meeting will be held at the Brampton Fall Fairgrounds (12942 Heart Lake Road, Caledon, west side of Heart Lake Rd just south of Old School Rd), following the Hamex hamfest, which also is being held there on March 23. We are planning to use one of the conference rooms in the exhibit building (the smaller building facing onto Heart Lake Rd)

The final card shipment of 2017 was received from the RAC National Incoming QSL Bureau in late December 2017 and sorted at the beginning of January 2018. The cards will be distributed to the mailing volunteers shortly.
In 2017 the total weight of cards processed by the Bureau dropped significantly. The total shipment weights for 2016 and 2017 were 187 kg and 88 kg respectively.

November 21 2016
At the beginning of October, we received a shipment of cards direct from the ARRL. These were cards from the 2014 W1AW year-long QSO party commemorating the founding of the ARRL. This shipment to Ontario weighed just less than 64 kg, (about 16,000 cards). This is the largest shipment we have seen since the Bureau reorganization in early 2012.
In early November we received another shipment, this time the “regular” one from the RAC National Incoming QSL Bureau in New Brunswick. This shipment weighed about 20 kg, and consisted of roughly 7,000 cards.
Both shipments have been sorted and by the end of the month will have been distributed to the Bureau Mailing Volunteers.

It was agreed to set up a “Donations” page on the Bureau website for users who wish to support the Bureau by donating funds to go towards Bureau fixed administrative costs such as annual web hosting fees, fees for database maintenance and Bureau post office box rental charges.
