Q: I have more than one call sign and/or a special call. Can I register all my calls with the Bureau?
A: You can register as many calls as you wish with the Bureau. You need to have funds on file with the Bureau for each call you wish to register. To do this, either deposit funds via PayPal or a credit card (see question below) , or send a cheque, payable to “VA3/VE3 Incoming QSL Card Bureau” to the Bureau address:
VA3/VE3 Incoming QSL Card Bureau
PO Box 46, RPO Streetsville
Mississauga
Ontario L5M 2B7
CANADA
Please put your call sign on the cheque. Also please tell us via a note how much you wish to allocate to each call sign or special call.
Please do not send cash in the mail.
Q: Can I use PayPal or a credit card to submit funds?
A: Yes. You may deposit funds to the Bureau using PayPal or a credit card. To use this service, click on the “Deposit Funds” tab, and follow the instructions. Note that if you do not have a PayPal account and wish to use a credit card, you can do so by clicking the “Pay Now” button to get to the PayPal page and then clicking the “Don’t Have A PayPal Account?” link on the PayPal page.
Q: Does the Bureau accept stamped self addressed envelopes (SASEs), or self addressed envelopes (SAEs)?
A: No, the Bureau does NOT accept SASEs or SAEs, because they take up too much space. Also, postal rates change too frequently to make this feasible.
Q: Can I send stamps to the Bureau instead of a cheque?
A: No, the Bureau does NOT accept stamps.
Q: Will the Bureau provide address labels for me?
A: Yes, the Bureau has an address label printing service. The cost is $2 for 30 labels. You must have sufficient funds in your account for us to provide this service. Please send an email to the Mailing Volunteer for your call letter to request this service if you wish to use it.
Q: Can I send in my own address labels?
A: Yes you can send in your own labels (1-5/8” x 2-5/8” size preferred) if you wish, to the Bureau address:
VA3/VE3 Incoming QSL Card Bureau
PO Box 46, RPO Streetsville
Mississauga
Ontario L5M 2B7
CANADA
Please make sure that your call sign is on the address labels.
Q: How do I find out if there are cards on file for me with the Bureau?
A: Please go to the tab “Do You Have Cards” and follow the instructions there.
Q: How do I find out if I need to send in additional funds to the Bureau?
A: Your mailing volunteer will let you know if you need to submit additional funds, when cards are sent to you. Alternatively, you can email the Bureau and ask. Your email will be forwarded to your mailing volunteer.
Q: I have moved. Do I have to notify the Bureau?
A: We need to have your current mailing address! If you move, please notify your mailing volunteer as soon as possible, preferably by email or alternatively by sending a note by postal mail to the bureau at:
VA3/VE3 Incoming QSL Card Bureau
PO Box 46, RPO Streetsville
Mississauga
Ontario L5M 2B7
CANADA
You must also notify Industry Canada of your new address. To do this, copy and paste this link unto your web browser: http://www.ic.gc.ca/eic/site/025.nsf/eng/home This is a legal requirement. The Bureau uses the Industry Canada database for mailing so it is important that you keep your address current with IC.
Q: I have made many contacts with hams who say they will QSL via the Bureau, but I have not been sent any cards by the Bureau. Why not?
A: The international qsl bureau system is by its very nature, slow. You should not expect to receive qsl cards very quickly if you use the bureau. Cards often take several years to arrive at the bureau.
